We are a young team of 10, developing the world's most flexible ticketing platform for hybrid events - concerts, festivals, theatre shows, conferences, and many other events. We are headquartered in Zagreb and currently operating in Croatia and Slovenia. We are selling tickets for over 1.000 events in the SEE region yearly, and we are just starting our expansion to new international markets.

We need a person to take over our internal financial processes, event statements and invoices, process improvements and look over our cash flow and planning. In the beginning, you will be a one-man-band in our small finance battlefield (we do have external accounting for tax reporting, salary calculations, yearly tax reports, and all the other regulatory reporting stuff), but in the future we want you to step-up, manage our future finance and accounting team and focus on planning, processes, analytics and international reporting.

As financial management is crucial for our company's performance and core business, you will play a big role in the company's international growth and success.

Financial Manager duties and responsibilities:

  • Communicate and coordinate with our external accounting
  • Create our event statements (invoice and documentation for ticket revenue payout after an event ends)
  • Create regular POS outlet statements (monthly invoices and documentation for our partner outlet network) 
  • Oversee various accounting operations
  • Manage Billing, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
  • Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Make and oversee bank payments
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting
  • Produce financial reports as needed
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Develop and adhere to policies and procedures
  • Communicate with our development team on improvement of our finance software modules to speed-up and improve our processes

Financial Manager requirements and qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of combined experience in accounting and finance
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • High level of general computer skills, especially Excel, Google Docs, Gmail
  • Advanced Excel, reporting and analytical skills (pivot table should not be a foreign word to you ;)
  • Ability to think out-of-the-box and proactively propose better solutions and improve processes
  • Outstanding knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Good understanding of accounting software
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
